ABOUT THE DISTRICT

The Westside area of Gibraltar is predominantly reclaimed land. With an abundance of restaurants, cafes and shops, there's also St. Bernard's Hospital, the Port and several schools. Additionally there is a reasonably sized children's outdoor park, an abundance of commercial/office units in buildings such as Europort, and it also hosts the largest supermarket in Gibraltar. There are various housing developments in the area such as Europlaza, Atlantic Suites, and the Government funded Harbour Views and Montagu Gardens. The Port of Gibraltar regularly harbours large cruise liners, which can be seen from the Westview Park/Promenade.
